DR. JAVAD MOSTAGHIMI received his B.Sc. degree from Sharif University, Iran, in 1974, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1978 and 1982, respectively. Before joining University of Toronto, he held positions at Pratt & Whitney Canada, Longueil, Quebec, and the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, Quebec. In 1990, he joined the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto, Ontario.
In 1993, Dr. Mostaghimi created Simulent Inc. The name was later changed to Simulent Consulting Inc. Today, Simulent Consulting Inc. is a leader in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software development and engineering consulting services, delivering the most advanced solutions for the design and testing of fluid and thermal systems.
Dr. Mostaghimi is a member of the IUPAC sub-committee on Plasma Chemistry, and a member of the editorial board of Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing. He is a Fellow of: the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and a Senior Fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto and the Institute for Advanced Study, University of Bologna.

Dr. Hamideh Parizi received her B.Sc. and M.Eng. in mechanical engineering from Tehran University (Iran) in 1986. After working for 5 years as consulting engineer, she returned to the university and received her MSc in 1993 and her PhD in 1999 from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada.
In 1999, Dr. Parizi started to work in Simulent Inc., and presently she is acting as the Vice President of the company.
Dr. Parizi is also teaching at School of Continuing Studies as well as SCFI-Magna M.Eng. Program, both at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Parizi is a professional engineer (P.Eng.) and has many years of working experiences in pump manufacturing companies, thermal power plant projects, and has performed consulting services in the field of thermal spray coating, thermal and fluid systems, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Dr. Parizi is the author of number of journal papers and books. Her last book she co-authored is “Pumps and Pumping Systems”, published by Springer-Verlag GmbH, in 2008.

Jimmy Scott has a strong background in project management with successes in various projects funded by the Ontario government. Proven Senior System engineer and Business Development Manager with a long track record of success driving revenue and high customer satisfaction in some of the largest and most strategic accounts in North America. He has Strong technical background complemented by excellent communication and presentation skills. A customer first attitude and proven ability to form strong relationships with senior level technical management.
As Vice President of Business Development Jimmy has successfully led and managed a research team in a Water Purification project funded by the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. His focus is to engage engineering partners from various Engineering, Engineering Consulting, Manufacturing and Aerospace companies to showcase Simulent Consulting Inc.’s technology and capabilities and how we can make a difference in their business and to develop relationships with our clients and partners to promote Simulent as a premier partner and supplier of innovative engineering technologies. Helping to find Government funding for some customer projects. Helping to define the company strategy to promote growth.
Jimmy holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a B. Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal. He has worked with engineering companies such as Silicon Graphics and Cray Research Inc. and now Simulent Consulting Inc. for the past 20 years to help drive revenue all across North America.
