Solid Mechanics
The modelling of material responses is the foundation of mechanical design. More and more finite element analysis and analytical methods are applied to complex materials and structures, in particular biological ones. At Simulent Consulting computational methods are also being applied more intensively to the design and optimization process itself.
Simulent Consulting focuses on developing techniques for the analysis and simulation in areas such pressure vessels for both low and high pressures, plastic gearing, nuclear components and piping, mechanisms and mechanics, dynamic machinery, and design using computer graphics.
We are also have the ability to study friction, lubrication and wear. Extensive simulations are used to study failure modes and design improvements. These studies are supported by the development of analysis techniques in finite element methods, failure analysis, plasticity, and continuum mechanics.
